*sigh* Is feeling pretty depressed. :raincloud: Why is it that no matter how much effort you put into something, there is ALWAYS someone who gets all the credit for their thing they threw together in 5 minutes? :disbelief:
It's like the "most popular of all time" section of the deviations- some of those so-called 'artworks' you're just like, "Why in the name of all shit is THAT one of the most popular?!!!" And then there are some simply stunning pieces which have clearly taken the artist hours even days of work, and a shit load of effort, but where the hell are they?!!!! Where's their spot in the "most popular" section?! God it shits me!! :steaming:

Sorry for the downer journal guys, I just feel so deflated and rejected at the moment. :iconlazycryplz: Sometimes I wonder why I bother.

I know how you feel... I used to feel the same way on here. (and I've always wondered similar things with some celebrities and such) its kinda sad sometimes cause really talented people go unnoticed, while someone famous is selling a blank canvas for a lot of money. not to put a celeb down but its like 'why'?

Yeah, I'm sorry... but I do want to let you know that I always admire your art, and in my mind you are famous to me. I know you can't automatically always fix something or change feelings. but just hang in there because I believe that you can make it through.

It feels good sometimes to draw feelings and ideas out doesn't it? Art is a gift and a wonderful blessing to have.

I find this to be quite true. I remember reading one journal of another artist who had addressed this same issue, only it was a comparison between something she had took three days to do, and something that she had spent less than 30 minutes on. The one that took the least time was of that new fire fox Pokemon (whom I will not even TRY to guess the name of, only that I know it started with an F), and several of her watchers addressed it as a fandom thing. People go for what they like the most, and unfortunately, a wonderfully detailed or well done picture of a war scene or of a coral reef aren't what they are looking for, or they simply do not care for stuff like that. They want to see something that they are a fan of, and you see this all the time with Pokemon, MLP, etc. And some artists know this, and so they draw that just to get more popular, or more famous, ect. Fan service, I call it.
Draw what you want to draw, or that you like, NEVER draw something just to get "more popular".

You're the second person I watch who has said this, only in her case it was two of her own-one which took a trememdous effort, and another drawn in a half hour.
